Is MyPerfectResume free? Here is where payment starts

Everything below about MyPerfectResume comes from its own pricing page (US prices read on October 2, 2026; the same plans and amounts showed in euros on October 3), and its terms of use and contact page, read on October 3, 2026. Prices change, and its terms say it "may customize your offer depending on your input and site settings", so check the checkout page before you pay.

What you can do on MyPerfectResume without paying

MyPerfectResume's pricing page lists three plans. The free one is called Basic Access. Here is what each feature is marked as on that page:

Its terms (section 9) say the same in other words: the free services include "using our resume builder, which offers unlimited use of our proprietary content and the ability of downloading a free .txt version of your resume." So you can write your whole resume on my perfect resume for free and download it as plain text. One line of its terms (section 4) reads differently: a Registered User can view documents "but will not be able to edit, print, or download them unless you are a Subscriber." The pricing page and section 9 list the TXT download as free. A TXT file has no layout: no columns, no fonts, no design. It works for pasting into an application form. A designed PDF or Word file is where payment starts.

Every 4 weeks is not monthly. A year has 13 four-week periods, so if the 14-day plan renews and you never cancel, that is 13 charges of $23.95 a year, or $311.35 (our arithmetic from the listed price).

The same page says: "Money-Back Guarantee: Request a refund within 14 days of subscribing to premium access to qualify." Its terms (section 10) are more careful: you "may request a refund if notice of cancellation of your subscription is provided before the end of the initial period", and in their summary, the company "does not guarantee refunds". Ask in writing, inside the 14 days.

Is MyPerfectResume legit?

What can be checked from its own pages:

• Who runs it. Its terms are a contract with BOLD LLC, and say Auxiliant S.à.r.l. may also act as merchant of record. Its contact page gives their addresses in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, and Strassen, Luxembourg.
• It is a real paid subscription. Its terms say a subscription "will automatically renew as described on the offer page until you terminate the contract", that "Any recurring charge will be fixed at the price agreed to at the time of purchase", and that your receipt tells you "how to stop recurring billing".
• How charges appear. Its contact page lists MYPERFECTRESUME.COM, MYPERFECTRESUME and BLD*MYPERFECTRESUME as the names on your statement.
• Cancelling. Its terms say you may cancel "anytime" through customer service or the online cancel page in your settings. The full steps are in how to cancel MyPerfectResume.

Read the renewal line and the refund line before you pay, and note the date: the refund window is 14 days from subscribing, and the 14-day plan renews on day 14.

What MyPerfectResume does well

To be fair to it: the free plan is more than a preview. You get the full builder, expert-written content suggestions for your lines, a cover letter builder and unlimited TXT downloads without paying. The pricing page states the renewal price and the refund window in plain words on each plan card, and its contact page lists phone support seven days a week, plus chat.

If you only need one resume

If you decide to pay for the 14-day plan to get one designed PDF:

1. Write down the day you subscribed. Day 14 is when it renews at $23.95, and the end of the 14-day refund window.
2. Finish and download everything you need first.
3. Cancel before the 14 days are up, and keep the confirmation. The steps are in how to cancel MyPerfectResume.
